Question read ECU

Hi,
Today I have read my ECU Bosch EDC 16 C32 ( Mercedes w245 B180 CDI) with KESS V2 via OBD, and the output file is 2.0 MB in size.
After searching the forum for other dumps of this car i have noticed that they are only about 50-60 kb.
Can someone explain what are the differences?

kess obd read = partial flash read
ktag bdm read = full flash read

but in both cases it stores the read in a 2 MB bin file....
