Truecode is long on the market and support is far better as by chinese developers. He was one of the first which did avoid list for 20digit nissan. I think alone such tip can be more worth as interface itself.

i can honestly say ive never had an issue with support from chris , i email him and almost always get a response same or next day even when hes in usa , my licence expiry was running out and i sent new codes in the evening and had new code the next morning this was last week only and while he was away from office at mla show , i really cant fault his service, ive never waited more than 24 hours for activation or response to emails .
there were updates and new licence on ford earlier this year for euro models as well as a number of new usa modules, but like many manufacturers at present he has in recent times been working heavily on the usa market and their coverage , the cost of going global i suspect , which he manages very well considering hes just 1 man doing everything.
at end of day other than activation codes , what support is needed , its such a straight forward and simple tool to use its probably the most idiot proof tool on the market .
to say its mad or expensive i just dont see at all , its affordable , its token free and it simply works and covers exactly what it says it covers , would you rather he sell the hardware cheaper and treble the price of the software to charge the rates others charge for software ? , it pays back and moves into profit very quickly and continues to make profit , no hidden costs , no licence jiggles to force the purchase of new licences , he doesnt steal coverage you have paid for if and when it suits him , he doesnt vanish leaving you with a brick , he doesnt introduce tokens , and he doesnt abandon the tool to release a new tool every few years looking for a cash grab , once you own it then its yours to continue making profit with , if every toolmaker was as honest and straight half the critical threads on tools wouldnt exist .
chris i have alot of time for , fantastic tool , simple to use and just does exactly what it claims to do , no false hype , no false promises and no rip offs , what more can we ask ?
if you cannot make money and profit from truecode then sadly your in the wrong business , if you have the work and you charge proper rates for your work then payback is swift and profits are good , which for me makes it one of my favourite and best investments .
it isnt as cheap as china tat but it is far more reliable and doesnt let you down , you pull it out and you know jobs getting done and your getting paid , it lacks the coverage of some tools but isnt the price of those tools , i think some would moan if it was free , each to own but remains one of the best investments ive made and continues making me profit every single day.

Yes i'm in fault , i sell (£6 ) keys only £50 ... ( need upper my price to gain nothing )
Simple exemple Renolink = 200€ (or R.E.T £ 600 ) , not Chinese tool , better than full TruCode RENAULT ( £1200 )
& price of interface is an shame : same price of an new laptop !!!
Quality is OK , i would bought it for Nissan J11 , but for me , cable is no an £400 product ... ( I/O terminal HW = £100 > not Chinese )

Im with you brother. Honestly if the cable from truecode cost 100 euros i wil buy truecode and will buy same software. I think that is better for chris that a lot of people buy his product and he will earn more money. For example better sell 100 cables for 100 euros instead of 10 for 400 euros.

i agree its a good tool
but mostly for older cars now
not much new coverage
compare price of a chinese tool and what coverage you get from them now??
dont get me wrong i still use all the time for a lot of jobs
but would i buy again now in this climate ?
With what with other tools out their doing more for less money i think not????
example Ford
full ford near 1100 pounds plus the cable to buy

Older cars or new cars you can not compare truecode with any Chinese tools, truecode is the only tool which will read pincodes and programme keys without any manual using incode and out code , all Honda cars done without pincode in minutes and the software will never let you down.

So do you email Chris
Before expires and does it
Sends you new activation codes
And are the codes valid for one
Year and than need to reactivate next year and so on did not know that.

I was chatting with his Chris's daughter at the MLA, the software is great from what I used of it but the lack of information and updates put me off. So I opted for a Zedfull.
He may very well update it but it isn't overly advertised which is what people need to see.

It a good piece of kit to have, in saying that lack of updates / vehicle coverage lets it down imo, price is not the issue when it comes to good developed tools that does exactly what it says it do. the cable cost is ok. and chris is good with communication, Unlike chinese sellers selling cables for 40 euro, renolink, copy, no support, made in sweat shops in china, obdstar etc, selling tools only to remove updates and not telling customers, which is a total rip off, at least when i go to do a job maybe 1 hour drive or so my truecode works 100%, chinese tool may or may not work,,,,,,,,,at the end of the day cheep tools = cheap prices = everybody selling keys on weekends and then going back to be a painter during the week. And to add to that how many times has cheap chinese tools brick cars? i wouldnt dream of using a cheap piece of crap on a customers car that they have worked for hard and then come on to forums to ask others how to get them out of shit. You get what you pay for.

what most forget is chris is just 1 man , to develop the quality of tool he has for not just the euro market but also for the usa market , the bloke rarely sleeps as it is , i personally think he has done remarkably well . support for me isnt a factor , the tool is almost idiot proof and the menu guided functions are simplicity itself .
unlike others he doesnt release non working functions , yes new coverage is slower than some , but the software prices are vastly different too and what he releases is easy to use and simply does what it says it does .
chris used to get inundated with support calls , sadly most of these were from clone users , the thieves who cloned his early work didnt even have the decency to remove his phone number and contact details from their crap , some even threatened him and his family when he wouldnt help them with their china tat . this and due to the level of work involved for development he doesnt have much time for hand holding , though if needing support for most of what truecode covers one has to ask if those needing it are suited to the work, though for the less knowledgable it is one of easiest tools to use so is well suited for them.
i have never waited more than 24 hours for an email response even when hes away working in usa or at shows , ive never waited more than 12 hours for activation codes , he even makes it clear , send the codes in the evening you will have them the following morning , ive never waited longer .
theres not another tool ive invested in that has given near the profit percentage this has when factoring in payback , it pays back very quickly or that at least is my experience . what it lacks in coverage compared to others it more than makes up for in its use and payback.
but as most want a tool that does everything for under £500 and has 100% coverage , then sadly truecode isnt that tool .

No - like all other tools has some fails
PSA - work only with Valeo BSI
Vauxhall fail on some models
Hyundai fail sometimes

Does truecode calculate all of the pincodes for Opel, Fiat, PSA, Ford, Renault and Hyundai or just for some of the models? Which models need extra pincodes from somewhere?
it rarely fails on renault or nissan coverage for pin reading , ford what it claims to cover it covers , if you read truecodes page they are upfront on what is covered if listed its covered and works , if not it probably isnt , but like every tool it has its coverage gaps and its strengths over others.
for those wanting as near to full pin reading as is possible on opel , fiat , psa etc then avdi is best choice for coverage , but the likes of tdb1000 are gaining ground especially on ford , opel , psa and is a tool many now turn too with a growing coverage at a reasonable price also .
despite avdi having the wide coverage it does it too has many weaknesses , especially on hyundai kia and most definitely ford , truecode is better than avdi on ford .
it really doesnt matter what tool we buy , 1 or 2 tools will never be enough , so we buy many tools to maximise success and coverage, truecode is just 1 of many token free tools that i wouldnt want to be without.
though truecode tops the list for me on honesty transparency and affordability as well as ease of use , honest developers deserve support as they are a rare commodity in this market.

Updates ??? on a coverage licence ?
chris sells a licence at around £195 to £295 depending on licence coverage , ie take Nissan NTC 2 licence , you get everything this licence contains token free for life and everything in the licence works and works well , there is nothing within the licence that needs an update as it already works 100% , the reason it doesnt get updated is there is nothing to update within in it.
when this licence was 1st released a few functions had issues , these were updated until all worked as they should , at this point there was nothing left to update within the licence .
rather than charge ams or subscriptions , tokens , or high prices , they sell a certain set of coverage in a low cost licence , when new coverage is released its grouped and sold in another low cost licence , you buy as little or as much coverage as you need or want , it is then yours to keep and use as often as you like token and extra cost free for duration. as the content within each licence simply does what it says it does there is nothing within each licence to update.
if by no updates you mean you cant buy 1 x £200 licence and get all future models updated free at no extra cost then no this is not the case , what you do get is exactly what you buy , the software within the licence working and token free , payback for each licence is 2 to 4 jobs and its in profit for the rest of its lifetime , for anyone this can only be a positive and easily achievable , even the many price cutters who come and go with their low rates on crap keys can get payback and move into profit quickly , so im afraid i cant see the relevence of no updates as the majority of licences simply do as they say they do and dont require updates .
this would be like you doing a key for a customer for their qashqai J10 , then if that customer sells this car and buys a j11 model you then supply this key free for him and keep supplying new keys for each car he upgrades too , we dont do this for our customers though some expect our toolmakers to do this for us , theres no difference .
i dont think truecode is for you , maybe stick with china kit .

To be honest the tool has updates - Before few monts my tool lost the registration and he send me link to download it again - The number of version was different than before so for sure tool have updates
Will be good if he make new moduls or add some cars for existing modules - For example Renault Trafic 3 just for this model I must buy new tool that will cost me over £500 (if somebody know cheapest solution let tell me)
and I will be hapy to pay £245 for Truecode module even just with one car cover

chris sent out an email to all the truecode customers on his mailing list a few weeks ago stating not to contact him on the old keyprogrammers email address as he no longer has access to this email address , and instead to contact him on his new email address ;
for sales , enquiries , issues with truedcode :xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
for activations and licence renewals : xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
this was relayed to every email address he has on his records , so contact the correct email address for what you require and as usual im sure chris will respond and resolve the issue as he always has .
your activations cannot have been deleted by a 3rd party , so has to be a local issue or the licences had expired , im sure chris can resolve it as long as you contact the email addresses he has listed to contact him on.

Here is all up and running, like the old days. All modules are there, available to purchase.
No problems here!
Just a name, and web swap.
Service - knowledge - and development is still done, by the same person.
Which means fast respons, and a friendly gesture.
When other tools fail.
This old bloke, saves the day.
Happen several times.
And its UK made - Europe developed - Which means keeping the money their own area. (Depends where you come from in the world) (Each and everyone, needs to think like this).
Instead of purchasing foreign developed tools. And sending the money abroad.
Spending money in your own area, and neighborhood. Keeps the hole area occupied in some sort of way.

whos lost any money ? seems you dont like facts much . but the true fact is no one has lost anything , all truecode functions are still available from halkyard tech , all activations are still sorted by halkyard tech , so all is still supported and supplied by the very man who develops it , the only change being a new website , new name and new email , other than that business as usual , no customer old or new loses anything at all , the new website https://halkyardtech.com/collections/ht-compatible , where everything is still available just as before .
maybe read and think and research before spreading misleading and untrue statements . i wonder how many other manufacturers would have supported their old units as well as this , theres very few suppliers i trust as much as them , plenty have more coverage and more functions but i cant think of many that would be as straight .

how is giving false information about a tool helping members make good choices , how is expressing an opinion or making innaccurate info on a tool that you dont have or use and have no experience with helping members ?
im all for positive and negative experiences being posted on any tool to help others if accurate and based on real experience as it then has worth , maybe give info on tools you have and use so based on real experience rather than hear say .

$15 tools aren’t for me sorry I’d rather support U.K. - European developers when possible
Halkyard is a solid choice and value for money ( in my opinion )
But each to their own....

Hopefully we'll see some great things again.
Always worth having 1 more tool.

reanimated or not for sure is a good tool,it does what it says easily,it is up to final user to decide if it is ok for him or not, personally i would be very glad if every programmer worked like truecode does
edit
a big plus is also the man behind it

Got issue with Juke Smart fob - Abrites says 4 digit code rejected along with AD. Autel nothing.
So ....i'm left wondering if 12 digit system - except no glovebox sticker.
Next is get Truecode re-installed
--------------------------------------------
Truecode works well with gaps. It's one of those things no tool seems 100%
Guess I'm only 85% at best of times lol
I must be near retirement age at 45 lol

There is no tools can beat truecode, even a 10 year old boy can programme keys with truecode, chris a real gentleman he does not sleep when it comes to customer service.

SmartPro, AVDI, and Autel failed on this Juke
Truecode succeeded - 1) didn't come up with code rejected; 2) easy to use

on its coverage , truecode is and always has been my first choice tool on nissan , though ive also been playing with TDB which is also very reliable on nissan , but truecode has never let me down on any of its claimed coverage across the makes but especially nissan and renault and ford been good too.
when ever i read negative posts about truecode its normally from someone who doesnt have it and has never used it and has no experience with the tool and who hasnt had dealings with chris , so easily dissmissed as worthless jabbering to increase a post count or to badmouth a tool for their own warped fun..

used the ht3 lead and the new update to ht3 a number of times , seamless and easy to use .
it did fail on a bmax automatic , used SP in end , process slightly differed to ht3 so sent logs to chris as may just be a slight tweak on process

Thanks I'll look at AD update price 1st as invested big on this tool but expect they will now be expensive
sad as always pick up 1st tho tokens every time now!
Can't go down SP route as was involved in writing software and know developers
They can't sell many machines under current climate

ford HT3 along with the latest upgrade to HT3 is excellent , typical chris , simple to use and reliable , has had its fails but most fixed quickly by chris when you send log files , using it more than SP as SP just the back up tool due to costs.
TDB1000 has also been good on ford when used.
good to see chris developing again , as i really like his software

I had the same issue a few weeks ago then eventually found the activation reply in my spam folder. Worth a check.
