Can you tell me if we just need to read BCM or Dash or BCM+Dash to change mileage on these cars?

In my case i read both modules and i save the original files, then i edit only bcm file to see new mileage.

If after mileage edition cluster shows "------" instead of mileage....I put original cluster file back and then cluster will show exact original mileage that i put in bcm.

Thanks. I have the eeprom programmers (Upa, CarProg, FVDI2018, EZP2010)...
I just want to know/learn how to find / change the binary code for these new models.
I have tachosoft 23.1, but its "limited" to old cars and i would like to "update" my list for new models...
