Only bought one from OBDSTAR and never again bought from them the reason was they keep producing new tools and stop updating the old tools.

yep, as most people will know, expect this to be supported only until the next product is released.

I mean look at the classic red x100 pro, now not supported, no yearly update available, however new grey x100 pro released with one year update.

I have Obdstar x300 dp full (Yellow modell) and it is working well, only with newer models needs to connect to internet, example: odometer correction to 2015- Ford F150, I just renew the yearly subscription (us$200 dlls) and keeps updating almost daily.

I don't know if the the x300 Dp Plus is substancially better than firsth model, the difference in price is high.

The new x300 dp plus comes with new functions like "ecu programming" and "ecu clone" (I can't find information on what models can make with those functions), now have a new RFID adapter (P001) and they disscontinued the support for the old RFID adapter, no updates.

For diagnostics it's very limitated, almost no special functions,.

For key programming and pin code retrieval is good, not all brands and models but can make many models without issues.

For odometer calibration is good, better than EZ500 (I have this tool too).

In my own experience the money invested was worth it.in my own experience the money invested was worth it

Same here done tons ofcars made 10x back what I paid easily and get updates about every 3-4 days

These suckers just complain about their shitty x100.......

Have no money to even buy decent tools then wanna cry they spent their side beer money..........

the x100pro was just an example of discontinued support, same can be said for x300m probably.

i agree it's cheap enough to buy and you will more than make your money back, i did on my x100pro and i only used it a couple of times :)

for vag/bmw/merc i have other tools (VVDI2 and CGDI-MB), just looking for something to do the odd car i get asked about (Renault/Mazda/Nissan/Mitsu/Toyota)

Alhamdulillah, money not a problem and of course i don't drink beer :D

what means they stop updating tools , lets say i buy xtool x100pro 2 . do i need to update it if i dont want , and i dont understand this updating thing, does this mean if we dont pay update after 1 year that we cant use device anymore ?

Yes, you cant use some of cars on device, not all. You can still use it for a lot of cars.

Xtool 3 , ObdStar 3 & IM508 are similar tools , 50% tool work fine , online , yearly pay to new update , same car support ....

X300 DP and PLUS, some cars do better, others worse. You can get mad when they bring a Toyota tow truck with all the keys lost and you want to use the option with key simulators, you tell the customer that it will take a while, and here what ?????????? ??? I ONLY OPERATE 94 / D4 ....... the simulator plate with a yellow dot ......... drama ....... Autel has no problem with that, everything works .... and you have to take it out eeproms and solder with equipment for 2000 euros that does not work ....... Failure ...........
