Hi, Ford Transit 2001-2006 must be ID4D60 40 bit or 80 bit? Carbon or glass? and Transit 2006-2013 must be 4D63 40 bit or 80 bit? Thankyou.

2001-2006 Use big long ID60 40bit glass. Or else to weak signal.

I think I remember back that I modified a key.
The kit was from a newer model blue key.
Ignition lock transferred to older 2001-2006.
And door lock. Owner had done this already.

So open 2007-key without remote, and find a small carbon 80bit.
And replace it with the old style glass ID60.
Not sure if the 80bit has a strong signal.
But the old glass it is absolutely necessary with strong signal.
Or else ignition will not turn. 2001-2006.
