As we all know, some Ford clusters don't show mileage when powered on the bench.
For anyone interested in seeing the mileage, I simply tied in a DLC plug to the Can Buss lines of the cluster, then powered the DLC and cluster. Now I see current mileage with my scan tool even though its not displayed on the cluster. I used the stock cluster plugs this time but a one cable fits all style could be easily made.
Just for shits and giggles i also tied a spare PCM inline on the bench and the cluster did show the mileage, same as it would in a vehicle. This is not practical and i would NOT recommend doing it.....but i was bored LOL (both this cluster and PCM are spares and i was not worried about damage)
