Possibly a long shot but a friend of mine has just put a 2.0m9r engine from a 2010 Laguna 3 into a 2008 Vivaro to replace a very dead M9r (snapped chain 4 snapped injectors)
Although it will start and run albeit with a rough idle. It has a cam position fault caused by the pickups for the cam sensor being different. Vivaro has a single lobe on the cam for the cam sensor and the Laguna sourced engine has multiple lobes.
Obviously the cam can be changed but would like to avoid pulling the injectors on this engine if possible.
If possible and if anyone knows how the ideal would be to modify the ecu to recognise the reading from the cam sensor.
