Mk5 Golf GTi MED9.1 Read Error...

Hi guys

I'm trying to read my brothers mk5 gti with a kess v2 clone and at about 30% reading it stops and says "error preparing the read" (or something close to that)

This is just via OBD.

Has anyone had this issue before?
