Hi members,

Ive made mistake when opening this ecu for a bdm readhttp://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/images/icons/icon9.png.

I have probalby 3 resistors broken, but biggest problem is 2 of them are missing and i dont know which to buy as replacement?

ECU details:
EDC17C42
2.3dci 92kw 237102265R 0281030116

Can anybody tell me what resistors should be there?

many thanks!

Use ceramic cap 47-100nF.

Im almost sure there was resistor that “nothing here” spot also because solder is stikking out.

You'd prob be ok just clean up damaged capacitor and leave it off. I think rafal is correct, the other spot is nothing and the pad was just damaged from the mistake.

Use ceramic cap 47-100nF.

Do these go by color?
Cause I would like to try use a cap of a donor ecu, if I can find the same size and capacity.

will be nice if you will press buttons for help
use multimeter and all will be ok

Last time im read this ecu (megane 3) and measure it (cap). Use pullup cap near connector.

Hi,
Got the same once open, easy to have a look, take a picture and measure it.
First as you see in picture C1 and C2 are equal, parallel mounted and filtering supply. C1+C2 are measured 1,4 microfarads, so half for C1 is 700 nanofarads without polarity. If you measure on your alone safe C2 you'll find 700 nanofarads.
Comparing your pictures with my ECU it seems to be nothing else miss.

Just like to update the Thread: problem is solved!

-Replaced 1 cap by a cap from donor ecu (100nF Thanks to Castin)
-soldered back other cap wich was lose on pcb.
-measured points of contact at broken cap 1.3microFarads (without the cap in place)
-and after soldering cap on pcb is 1.4microFarads total. (Probably a few more caps in the circuit) thanks to Louislesinge (https://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/member.php/521396-Louislesinge) for reference.

I hope this may help other members using crowbars:encouragement:
