It will, as long as it it's not some problem. Then the light will come back on again.
As long as the light is on, the airbag system may not work and in case of an accident the airbags may not deploy.

there was a connector under the seat which was disconnected ,so i dont think there is a fault. so it will turn off light

I do not know with you but in many gm frequent problem is the connectors under the seats, I will just solder. So far I had no complaints
