ford fiesta fuse problem

Hi hope someone can help me, I've got a 2004 Ford Fiesta and my cigar lighter is not working, I went to check fuse looked at fuse-board the fuse was missing from the board I tried to put a new one in but it wouldn't stay in place it felt loose and wouldn't stay in place. has anyone got any Ideas Please. :banghead:

check number in handbook and make sure it is not a blank as in no connectors as you might be fitting in wrong one,easy to put in wrong spot.if you use adapters fuse can blow.

Hi, according to Autodata the fuse for the cigar lighter, is in the dash fuse box, 3rd row up from the bottom, 6th fuse from the right, Fuse 29 15A (blue).

sometimes the lighter gets a coin lodged inside it
and blows the fuse and burns out the plastic holding the fuse blade holder
get a god light and see if its burnt at the inside of the fuse box

you could try a car phone charger that has same plug to see if the socket is working
