saab 1.9tid question

hi guys i know mpps can partial read a vauxhall 1.9cdti edc16c9 ecu but i have a saab 93 1.9tid the engines are exactly the same just different brands but the saab also has a edc16c9 ecu my question is would i be able to read the saab ecu with mpps and use the drop down menu and pick vectra edc16c9 would it read it as they both share the exact same engine so shouldn't the ecus be the same also?

i dont remember sure but i think for c9 and for c39 saab i choose the one option is listed in mpps. It can read both types with one selection. C9 is 1mb file, c39 is 2mb, see what u get
