DASH SCENIC II

HI

I repair several Dash JOHNSON CONTROL for SCENIC II.
I have more big problem with dash.
When i power it with generator, i have a sound : TIC TIC.......
And if i press in pcb, the dash work, no work , work......
I check solder and nothing............
Apparently it's mostly when I press toward the transfo.

An idea??

I have chage:
FUSE, IRF...., osillo PSOP 8 pin

The last two I did, the dry joints where on the transformer itself, had to lift one side of the display to do it properly.

I cant post pictures because the dash's have been refitted to the vehicles.
The transformer is surface mounted, and the connections to the printed circuit had dry joints, I just re-soldered them, and the 1r0 resistors.

In this photo the transformer is missing, it is soldered to the 12 solder pads 6 each side of the printed circuit where the holes are.

I have same issue, my sash keep losing power so I think it may be the transformer.

I have thesame problem ... In transformator hear a buzzing sound ... PST PSSSSSSSSSST ..... and lcd blinking ... but when you give contact everything work ... when you start the car .. then this problem appire .. i change everything what i must .. and i also change transformator .. but the problem stay .... i dont know what alse to do :S .. help me

I have already this problem and it is alimentation power is to low

I have the same situation then fruti.
what can we resume. It's the eprom?
I change all smd 1r0, irf, 8 pin smd rebuild all soldering near transformer too.
and when I touch the board all flashes. I dont see anything. Maybe some hole in the board????

Hello,
Don?t forget that this board don?t can power up on desk without can emulator for the dash, when you tray everytime to connect 12v you can damage the eeprom or the KM change +16K more.

ok. but, I had remove km display and when connect with car without display we can see radio display working.
if you toutch on board it flash and boot clock to zero.
if we have to change eprom, tell me.!!!

Yes you do, change eeprom to orguinal manufactor! very important.
You don?t tray to power on the board without the KM display or you can damage the DC-DC cirquit!
You say when you put a finger on the board the display flash? tray to find out on the electrolit condensator on falt.

I do it because I cant remove display anymore. I had remove 4 or 5 times. I dont have dump for it.
I think that sound comes from fuse 6.5.

use can emulator
when it tics just turn up the voltage to approximatly 18 V then the dashboard starts up and then put it quickly back to 12v
