Kess V2 and MED17.5 2.0 TSI VAG

Hello everyone, starting out in reading ecu I bought a KESS V2 equipped with a second black case. I would like to read the ECU from my 2009 scirocco.[

Since it is MED17.5 I have to switch to tricore or bootmode, but I do not understand if I can achieve it with KESS V2 ?

No you need Original Tool for VR Reading....
Dont understand why everybody buy this shit clone tools....if need original slave tool write pm.. is cheaper you think and they work

Ahh perfect friend, it seems to me that i don't need external additional 12v power supply?
Have to use the small black box and connect/solder the gray wire to boot and the other to the ECU pin right ?

Yes i've save this pictures already to connect to the ECU but kess V2 + the little black box (What name is it ?) is ok to do a bootmode ? Everybody are talking about KTAG bootmode, nothing about this black module ...

Best is buy geniune tool, you heared 100 times i know. If you dont have experience to open ecu, don't do the job.. It's riskly
If you have protocol 463 (only id and write) do id and upload ID here, i will give ori VR file that you can write..

I think its a good choice to rework you clone if its an older one than 07/2017 PCB.

Everything is written in KESS / Ktag. Connection, protocol selection. It is not easy to tell everything to a person who has never done it. Your biggest problem will be opening the ECU without damage. Power supply is sufficient 12V 2A. For reading in boot mode is definitely better option Ktag. If you have Chinese tools. Chinese Kess sometimes does not count checksum in boot mode.

Back from holidays ! Will take my time to open the ECU, may be it can be a good idea to buy a new one and works on it for the first time ?
