I purchased my carprog (noob here) from amazon for about 60 bucks with all its cables, i was told today i should have bought the original one from codecard.eu with its subscription instead. can this Chinese carprog be used instead of spending 300+ euros for the original one? do you guys jailbreak or some sort? help me understand this whole mess please. thank you in advance.

Hello to all. Yes you can use your carprog, but not all functions will work, and you will have to rework it in first place. Here in DK you can find all info about rework, update to v8.21. I have always used chinese cloned works great the codecard company very greedy.

did you modify the chip? can you help me make mine work? i have functions that require activation.

do you connect to codecard server after? or you just use direct and rewrite? i have tried plenty of modules but none of their part numbers are on the lists.

chinese works with version 8.21 ,does not have all the functions,it depends on the serial you have too.Dont use it online.
Simple things like airbag ,eeprom,mcu ,opel ecu ,should work fine.
Dont expect much with a device that costs 60 bucks with all the adapters too.Quality is poor.
