Someone would be kind enough to help me.


I have a problem with a VW Transporter (T5). This car broke down the instrument panel and cannot be read. Fortunately I could read the ECU with KTAG but I need to extract the data from the Login immobilizer, etc. in order to adapt a new instrument panel.


I would also like to make an IMMO-OFF, EGR-OFF with DTC Codes disabled.


I am new to the subject, but I love the world of chiptuner, immobilizers. For this I have the K-TAG 7.020 Master tool. I think I can do the writing correctly with this tool. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, I would appreciate it.

As I mentioned in the initial post I am new to the subject, although I am reading a lot of information about it, I still have my doubts.
Should I make some correction before?


Is this reading ready to write in the ECU? CHECKSUM corrected?

IMMO-OFF and EGR-OFF are you ready?

Does this setting also have the fault codes (DTC) removed by disabling the EGR?

yes..write eprom chcksum ok with immo off.. and flash with egr off will checksum when ktag write.. have nice day :)

Hi 3inferno3.
Unfortunately, the car “Engine Control Unit Locked” did not work


The writes with the Ktag worked correctly.


First I wrote the eeprom and then the flash, both ended correctly.


What could be happening?

Another question.


When I do the reading, the ktag generates 3 files (EDC17CP20.EPR, EDC17CP20.MPC and a third party without an EDC17CP20 extension that I don't know what it is)


When I write the modified image, I only restore 2 files. First restore EDC17CP20.EPR.bin and then EDC17CP20 egr off.bin


Is it correct like this?
Just write those 2 files?


Should it be done separately or can you write both at the same time?
