I have a client that installed custom made seats on his Jeep 2017. When scanning it returns the code “1st Row passenger Seat Belt Sensor OPEN”. These seats/Jeep build is for crossing water bodies and he does not wants the light to be on at all times so I proceeded to try with a resistance where the buckle plug used to be. If I put no resistance it says “open” if I put any resistance ranging from 1ohms to 11ohms it says “Low”.
Do you have any ideas on what could be wrong?
He still wants the airbag light to alert about the air bags so removing the light completely is not an option.
