I changed one ecu on that type of car.If you have FVDI you can copy the eeprom dump by obd and write it on the new ecu .

For only one job isn't worth, but if you work with cars it is worth :)

Hi

If FVDI can read eeprom from this ecus with <100 & >100 h/w then not worth it at all

I have found that tool with 80€ but the seller can't confirm that the tool works with h/w under 100....

The price is good, for the components and job involved to build it.

I will spend 150€ and this is the first ECU in my hand... and there is also the price of the scrapyard ECU, Not sure when will get the money of the tool back in my pockect.

I have both tool. My fvdi never have problem with thus type of ecu. Fvdi make automatic virgin. Iaw59f tool work also ok but sometimes have problem with <100 hw. Iaw tool is quicker and can make automatic off but i think fvdi is beater cos work on more ecu type's :)
