Greetings,
Trying to learn about MCU programming and have got myself a ML163 not running, found blown ECU have now got a 2nd hand replacement which is where the fun begins.
Now I read A500 is a good tool for HC11 so I purchased china clone and tested, CANNOT read EEPROM for 4E28B. More reading, then more reading, and then found Carprog can also do HC11 so abandon the AK500 and got myself a new Carprog tool.
Carprog has arrived so connected as in the manual http://www.codecard.eu/files/Manuals/MCU/CARPROG%20Motorola%20HC11%20programmer%20manual.pd f
Cannot get it work, have read this https://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=497581&d=1515453331 and I connected exactly as in photo
Im first timer, must be doing something wrong. Do I need to connect 12V to ECU also?
Any advice for a NOOB
Also have tried changing clock speed, and RxD pin 20 is lifted from PCB, and MODB pin 2 also lifted.
