Hi how to check if file received was modded

Hi all I hope it's not dumb question but I wonder how to check if modded file received from service is modded as original and moded has the same size? Should not have to be different size as or same is correct as small modification was done stage 1 EGR off?

file size must be same, you can check with any hex editor comparing files if they are same or not.
