1998 c230 missing EIS

i have this 98 c230 that lost eis module I have the original key 687590 but is not working (isn’t transmitting).

the customer bought a new one in a junkyard with a key but I don know if is the right one for this car.

What is needed to do in this car? Virginize, synchro, personalized? What dumps are needed? Any special tool to get done?

Hi is the eis available.
EIS has 2 64 pin chip inside.
Let me know if any of those is available and I will help you start the car.

Hi Thanks �� for reply, Yes is the junkyard new one with key match, the old one is missing I just have the old one key match.

If star c5 with last new SW it's no help ,because new sw lost old Das protocols.With new sw in old car possible only read and clear fault code ,that's all no more.
For this '98 car year you need old Xentry/Das SW which made for C3/C4.

In this case, what you really need to do is unlock and renew the ESL and match the donor EIS to the ECU. Without matching data from the original EIS, the ESL will remain locked, so the key won't turn.

There ya go. Write the ESL file to both of it's mcus, write the ECU file to you-know-what. :biggrin:

I’m still working on this car, right now I can’t get connection with eis via k-line to activate ESL I’m using this wiring (http://i.imgur.com/8riU6Kg.png) but I don’t know if the right just I’m not using can lines just k-line on bench, Thanks in advance anybody can help.
