bmw m3 e46 dme "fried"

i was wondering if someone can help me with this issue, it is a 2004 bmw m3, e46, someone tried to tune the car and accidentally the power supply went dead, so is the dme, MSS54. Can you guys help me to figure this out? the work was done on the car, obd2. now the dme is dead, no communication. what needs to be done to get it this dme running? i think it is converted to a stick shift, not a smg.

Yes use bdm to read files, post here.
If they are much corrupted you will get fitted master, slave ... and do reprogramm with winkfp ... later you can read with obd and we can fix the coding stuff.

thank you but what tools need to get this job done? i do not have the fgtech. si the info in the mcu or the flash? if it is the flash, i can take them out and read them. i am new to this dme. other ones no issues. thnx

Use this onces. After ecu respond fine send me partial to do the configurations.
If you need change VIN... use WinKfp before you send me partial.
After all this steps done reallign ecu to ews.

how do i know which one is master which one is slave on this dme? and this part when you say PARTIAL, is that an obd2 reading?

With connector to body right side is master, left one is slave.
partial is obd read how like you did... also possible to read big endian swapped fullread via OBD... but not for you :).
Also BDM possible, with self made board and a bit rasperry magic.

Hello guys. I finally sorted out the issue with the programmer and got also 2 different flashes and reprogrammed both master and slave. I installed correctly. Installed on the car, the check engine is on, the scanner has no communication. I had tried with kess and still nothing. It sees the car but gives this error. Posting the photo.

I disconnected the dme and the check engine disappears. Installed a different dme and I can communicate with it.

Did you write mine files via programmer, without anything touched?
Which eproms did you use? Tell me hole name of em.
Test to reprogramm via WinKfp

i wrote the flash you sent me, both, the slave and master. nothing was changed. via programmer. no obd2 communication, no kess communication, i think. the kess sees the vin and model, the rest no. the check engine shows up. strange
