Need Help with EWS Immo from 320d E46 2002 DDE7789572 0281010565

Hello everybody,

i got a 320d e46 150hp touring from a customer.

DDE7789572
Bosch: 0281010565

The car received a new engine and after that the car stayed for a long time outside without being completed.

Now i am the lucky guy to finish them.
because it was always outside, rain came into the old ECU .

Therefore i bought a new ECU, EWS and key kit for this car.

I receive now always the error code "EWS Interface error" from the DDE.


DME/EWS adaptation with BMW Scanner v1.4 or INPA works.
Cable between EWS and DDE is ok
12v an Grounds are ok on the EWS
Key is enabled from the ews
No Error code in the EWS.

But the car will not start!

Can there be a problem with the VIN or different Km´s which are programmed in the used EWS/DME/KEY-Kit?

Can anybody give me a solution for immo off, EWS Repair or other solution?
I can´t find any immo off solution.

I would also pay for a solution if it works.

Are you sure the EWS and DDE came from the same car? Any codes in the EWS? ISN same in both?

I bought the kit with ECU, EWS and key used.
I´ll think that the seller, has sold me the ECU with the EWS from the same car.

I have the reading from the EWS.

From the ECU i haven´t found yet a Program/tool to read it.

It´s a EDC16C1

With kess/ktag not possible.
Which Tool can you consider me to read the ECU?


No Error Code in EWS.
I don´t know if the ISN is the same.

Ktag should read that ecu in bdm without further problem.
