I have accumulated quite a bit of information over time, and a locksmith from trade locks also shared his cheat sheet with me so thought I would pass it on to every one so they can have a blast with it and hope it helps every one.

One I edited to colour co-ordinate each line so it is easy to view the other is the full spread sheet with oem part number, does it clone etc. also which remotes to use.

A lot of documents and info is usually handed out in confidence. Usually a lot of work and effort goes into compiling something like this. Just be careful posting anything in the public domain without permission from the author/ owner. It could lead to friction and others unwilling to share information with you in the future

i said looks familiar , this was the very first coverage list i did and gave a copy to kev at tradelocks many years ago , its been updated 3 times since this version , needless to say they wont now get the revised full version

Well maybe if people knew they would get support like this they might buy of resellers rather than China.

No one has said do not redistribute, and they emailed it to me quite willingly so I assumed it was freely available to anyone considering it came from tech support just posting it up trying to share it with people, if this does cause issues then I can happily take it down. I don’t want to step on toes of anyone.

this early one was given to their tech support guy so he could advise his customers as a help to him , so they wont get any further info , however its no biggy , its info thats freely available to anyone that can be bothered to research it , it took me a few hours to read and check my oem stock to figure it out and is widely available on most supplier sites , so nothing any one couldnt find out if they can be bothered. , its not what it is because its throw away info thats easily researched , but means they get nothing further .

they may have wrongly emailed this to you , but in any case what they emailed you was for your use , i trust they didnt give you permission to redistribute this in writting ? so it is not your own work to redistribute , just because they gave you something to help you doesnt mean you have the right to share on a public open forum and this is the stick that i shall use to beat them with.

as stated its a very early list of potential coverage thrown together when nb remotes first came out to help tradelocks tech support and sales staff answer questions and understand what the product does . revised 3 times since with additions and deletions , like the lishi guides they find there way onto the net for all and sundry , its normal and one of the reasons i stopped writting new lishi guides for the distributors and trade magazines , after all no one likes to see their work and effort just made worthless by others giving it away making it throw away .

such lists are very easy to compile , im shocked that so many dont have one already as so easily and quickly researched . crack on , i gave it to them years ago if they choose to give it to people and allow them to share online despite it not being theirs to give away and of course being an outdated rough draft then so be it , thats there perogative and the reason i no longer send them updated info and guides any longer .

Well maybe if people knew they would get support like this they might buy of resellers rather than China.

tradelocks used to have full photo guides and video guides for all of the lishi tools , keydiy and cutting machines they sold , they use to allow customers access to these , so they have always offered such material , it didnt generate that much more in sales , most took the info and still bought in china , others take info and share it online and on facebook so becomes worthless , this is why many distributors have stopped commissioning technical articles and so many contributors , me included stopped producing them , as of little benefit to them and an unnecessary and unwanted expense for them.

thats life and thats this trade , alot of take and very little give.

Depends on price though.. now prices on keydiy for example aren't that much more than China so a decent support list etc would go a long way.. I bet many would donate / buy a new support list or buy keys from tradelocks ect if they provided a new list.

possibly , but they have to find someone with the knowledge and the oem and the time to test each one is working and then to write it , so they would need to find someone to do it (it wont be me especially after finding what was supposed to be a staff aid here) , and then pay them what ever they charge to do it for them, and hope to make their money back. finding someone with the resources and time to do such tasks fully is not as easy for them any longer.

when lishi were between £99 and £125 each there was money to pay for guides , pay for videos , pay for testing and development etc etc , now they are under £40 each theres nothing over for this , same with kd , as uk sellers have to try and get as near to china rates as they can , theres no money left in it to pay for guides , testing and technical info , so like china they have to rely on what the manufacturer releases. its catch 22 , cant have cheap rates and everything else , r&d and support are the first expenses binned .

with kd they have the app , any user can update the app with what worked and what didnt work , with the 10s of thousands of people using kdx2 and kd900 , this app could be a 100% spot on resource , if users were as quick to give a little back as they are to take , with thousands contributing this app would be spot on , sadly less than a hundred users bother to contribute , everyone else just waits for someone else to put up the info and moans when what they want is not there , use the app , add to the app , give a bit back and its a free resource.

they used to do a book and updated it every 3 years , this ceased due to much the same , they gave pdf guides away , people shared them all over the net , autosmart copied one of the early books on pdf and this got shared , to the point they stopped revising them .

they used to do a magazine which was free to anyone that wanted it , they sent out thousands each month with tech guides and user info , again got abused and as prices dropped no money to continue funding it , it is what it is , we either have cheap or we pay more and have bells and whistles.

i did a guide for safe locks once for a small forum , only to find multiple people selling it on fleabay on cd , so ive little time for anyone that shares something that isnt there own work as not theres to share , no issues if people put the effort in and produce their own work and want to share it , just not blatantly sharing someone elses efforts without at least asking them first , it stops future helpfull stuff and is counter productive in the long term as leads to far less becoming available.
