Hey guys!
I was working on a 2007 bmw E83 last week... I'm the 3rd guy on it now as per customer.
someone cut a new key but didn't program it, and customer told me he tried to start vehicle with unprogrammed key a few time, than original key was not cranking the engine anymore after that.
EWS4.4 sees original ignition key and recognized it (as per AVDI), when I place unprogrammed key, it says unprogrammed key detected.
DME is an MSV80 and DTC was 2F4A interface EWS-DME

usually when ISN or synch is a missmatch between EWS and DME, car will crank, no start... as it is not cranking, I guess it is more about rolling code or key itself. someone suggest me to program the new key or a transponder to try and make it start, but car is far away from me, so I would like to have an EWS dump that rolling bytes has been reset (if that is possible) to be prepare in case programming a key will not work.

I wasn't able to read ISN from DME... so I hope it will not be needed. also, I have tried to align EWS-DME with AVDI, BMW-explorer, and ISTA-D, but all failed (service procedure not available in ista-d, ews4 not see in bmw-explorer, and dme not see in AVDI).
thanks for the help guys!

I wrote 2 new transponder for that dump with VVDI (surprisingly, AVDI would not do it).
tried both keys, no crank. so I proceed to read again EWS and found this new dump:
when I check with EWS editor, I have weird variable for those 2 keys, and they are not marked as used.
I then wrote your dump, and tried with all 3 keys, still no crank.
didn't read the EWS after that. I'll check with AVDI if keys seems recognized... but I think something is wrong with VVDI key programming maybe.

let me know what you think, and how you guys think I should proceed next.
thanks!!

edit: new keys 3 and 4 seems to be recognized (as per AVDI)

EDIT NO2: don't search too much for now... I have 12V going in and out of EWS when I crank... 12V goes in and out of IVM, and it goes into the 4 pins connector under intake manifold... so they will put vehicle on the lift to go see at starter... might be silly like this.

EDIT NO3: starter is defective... they'll replace and keep me informed. I'll reply when I have news. thanks again!!
