I think pincode is in flash

reprogram the micro with xtool and the vehicle was immobilized surely a part of the micro was erased
If I put a new dashboard or program the mic with another back up, would it have to work?

Did you write a flash from a different cluster?
In each flash is a unique key which is used to encrypt some data in eeprom (like CS).
So if you write a different flash then also write the matching eeprom.
