Hi guys! I am reading posts in dk about immobilizer system...i have some questions for anyone who is willing to answer.
As i have read Immo can be stored either in immo box or either in ecu. When is at ecu it can be stored either in flash memory or either in eeprom. My question is how to you know if immo is in flash or in eeprom ? If is in flash you read flash and you write the modified file back in flash again ? If is in eeprom you read eeprom and you write the modified file back in eeprom. Right ? Are there cases that you have to read and write both in flash and eeprom for immo off or for virginizing immo ?
What are the "safety" things that you look when you read and write? Checksum, the size of the file ? Anything else ?
