VW Golf IV: clone 1J0920826C motometer dash to vdo dash (same part number)

Hi,

1J0920826C dash V08 motometer has a display problem (not the soldered kind of display).

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to clone it to a same part number dash but made by VDO v13 ?

Are the eeproms interchangeable?

eeproms are different in both dashes even though part numbers are the same
