hi all
well happy new year to every one to start with!
im a noob to all this kinda stuff, but after trying for a week or so i finally got some games onto an r4 card yippeee, but this only works on the ds, the whole point of this was for my daughters xmas prezzie a dsl!
when inserted into the dsl, the loading screen comes up and it kind of freezes and says 'system error please check model'.
basically do i need a different firmware for the dsl?
greatfull for any replies on this 1 cheers guys!

ps the noob guide to r4 is spot on even for a slomo like my self lol.lol

You need to purchase a card compatable with the DSi, i.e a DSTTi card or R4i
card are two examples. Have a look on the dealextreme web page.

thanx for that, i have a spare r4 sdhc upgrade with a 4gb sd card will this be good to use on the DSL? if so which kernal do i need? cheers.

try this, site,, and select your card for d/l.
