Question what would I have to do to make a 99-02 display Miles instead of KM on the odometer and vice versa? Is it on the Micro-controller or the EEprom? I am assuming after that all you need to do is swap the face plate for the MPH since it should all still be in the same place. Correct? Thanks.

Replace the eeprom dump for the correct one and it will be good.
In case you don't have it....

Do you have a random KM dump? all mine are miles. also is the dump different on the 99-02 for t-temp vs non t-temp like the 03-07 stuff?

T-Temp is in the processor flash I believe, because even using an eeprom dump from a T-Temp cluster, it will not work to convert one even after swapping the missing components.
I don't have a Km dump in my archives, but I'll check for one in my tool.

Thanks! Yeah I tried swapping all the parts over a few years ago and had no success but I didn't try the EEprom that is why I asked. If you have a tool that can swap it Id be curious what line is different for KM vs miles.

Never did find the line in a 99-02 and never needed to.
This should be a Km file.
Edit: And just so you know, 1999 is not interchangeable with 2000-2002, you will have a persistent airbag light.

Tested that worked Thank you. Tomorrow I will sit down and see if I can find what part of the eeprom it is.

found it 5th row down 2nd byte. if you set it to 2F you get KM if you set it to F0 or F6 you get miles I am not sure why 2 different ones give you miles. edit Im not sure on addressing would that be address 0401?
