In a audi a3/a4 says safe on the dash it means one of the control units in the car does not match with other or dash is not sync with the key you must program the key in the new dash even with immo off car will start but it will always display safe on the dashboard simple task make a new key or get a dashboard and transponder key from other car but the transponder and the dash as to be from the same car or will not work
