Hi guys.I m having a 1998 W210 Mercedes Benz came for adding a spare key.I have the CGDI ready to go but i do not have any adapter for 38pin so i m workin now on manufacturing one.Having a couple of questions:

-Does this schematic works ? Do i need something else beside negative, positive 12v and k line ?
-For this w210 1999 do i need to connect something else besides the obd2 ? I ve seen a video on youtube where someone do this procedure on obd2 only.
Any answer will be highly apreciated.

That cable will not work, besides 12v and ground u need third wire. OBD pin1 to pin 20 on 38 pin connector to work with cgdi.

Guys,another info please

I just got the car,the adapter works i can comunicate with eis ,it reads the eis but cgdi won t recognize the original key (it does recognize the new one ) .
Someone told me that cgdi need 12v on the power jack also besides the power from the obd2 port.

Is that true ?
