Can any experienced tuner share their opinion on the safety of using SVRL/Torque limiters to create a hard cut? Using the built in launch control function on EDC Suite, my turbo blew. The engine is a PD130 on 180,000 miles, I dont know when the turbo was last replaced if ever.
Im a novice tuner, and while Ive created my own map from teaching myself this, I cant find any information in the infamous popcorn limiter...

Ive heard it is far too aggressive and can cause damage but to what engine parts specifically - if so, how can we mitigate this? Would a better idea be to not use SVRL, but torque limiter and set the difference to 5RPM rather than 1? I.e. 4600RPM -> 4605RPM

In this two methods can risk a damage but SVRL is sound is great on tuned exhaust.
