Hi, Can someone help with EGR and Swirl off?

I have blanked swirl flaps but there seems to be an EGR fault.
I also have a blocked DPF, but can't regen because the car is in limp mode.

There is no such thing as "Limp Mode" in BMW EDC16 because of faulty EGR, SWIRL etc. The regeneration is not starting because of to high differential pressure in the DPF, or too low engine temperature (faulty thermostat)...

Hi, so you need to disable the dpf as well?

Thanks for the info!

There must be another problem then because the car wont rev above 3k /40mph.
I've replaced the thermostat and it gets to full temperature.
You're correct, the backpressure is very high.

Even if the DPF/Swirl aren't the problem I'd still like them coding out :)
I'm considering removing the DPF completely, but I believe its hard to get through an MOT test here in the UK without one.

no, I dont think its a good idea to disable DPF when it is still on the car and blocked?
I dont really want to remove it as it's very difficult to get through an MOT here without one.

when the car is running properly I will attempt a DPF regen

You have just two options.
Remove everything or fix everything as should be ,and thats it.
