My Dad's 2004 Pajero sport 2.5 has a problem with the map sensor .. turbo is not kicking in and it's down on power and brings on engine management light...I can't remember the code but it leads straight to it..he had ordered a cheap replacement sensor which made no difference so today while I called with some messages to them I took of the connector and checked for voltage at the map...none there with ign on..the middle pin tested out as ground so obviously I'm thinking it's a break in the supply wire..
Any hints or guidance on how to trace that wire back to source or could I just take supply from somewhere else...
I'm not very knowledgeable but have some electrical experience and Google was the help to know I should have been seeing a 5V supply to the sensor....
It's only afterwards he was saying that this issue showed up intermittently even when it was new enough... hopefully there must be a common culprit that someone might know about..
