You only need know PIN Code from the car / cluster and like this you can adapt to the car.

If you don?t know that ! Is not simple for you do it.
You even know what is dump file!!!

Dump file is here is stored all info of you need to know PIN code.

You need also a programmer for read that dump file.

You need to know what eep or mcu you must read.

So, think a little aboat what you have to do.

If you want to try, is with you.
Post all details of the car and cluster.

I used vag k+can commander version 3 last week to copy the dump from eeprom (programmed info from eeprom) off an instrument cluster. And cloned it to second hand dash on 52 plate skoda fabia diagnostically.( threw obd plug). hope this helps m8 its a top tool.used it for crash data resets diagnostically and reads im*obiliser login codes diagnostically. loads more other features what ive not used yet aswell.

Where is the info about the car and what type of dash?
If you submit a question or request for help, you will give yourself info:
what is car type,year,engine
what is module or ECU (instrument cluster,AirBag,or other )
what is problem and what kind of help you need.
This should be the norm for such thematics.

Think hes generalizing m8, about vag instrument pods in general.

if there is only eeprom lige Golf4, passat B3 and 4 and somy audi, you have only to remove eeprom from the used cluster and place it on the new, i tryed it and works for many vag group cars

All you need: PIN to old cluster and new cluster and VCDS

When you want change mileage to new (used) cluster you must have something like VAGTAcho, VAG commander to change via OBD2.

When you want change mileage to new (disused) cluster you do it at VCDS via OBD

Can anybody take a look at it and say me the PIN ??

i tried with all the programs but none worked. Tachosoft immo says

Hello,

I dont use any cable, I made the dumps with a homemade eeprom programmer directly to the cluster board (93c86) eeprom memory.

I can tell you how to make the programmer and where to put the wires on the cluster without soldering or needle removing.

Please to all guys swapping dashes and not knowing how to differentiate immo2 from immo3 go to Ross-Tech: VAG-COM: Immobilizer Info (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/immobilizer.html), And read everything two or three times.
It is great info and will save you lots of time.

Good luck

Do you have the pin codes to both clusters? Below is the procedure for exchanging Immo4 clusters.

Immobilizer IV Immobilizer Swapping (Instrument Cluster) - Ross-Tech Wiki (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Immobilizer_IV_Immobilizer_Swapping_%28Instrument_ Cluster%29)

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, I had both pins for old (dead) and new (used) Cluster/clocks but even following the Ross-Techs step by step it would not adapt for some reason, in the end I had to read the eeprom from the dead Cluster and dumped it into the eeprom in the new dash, this allowed the car to start and even retained all the keys that were programmed to old cluster.

Back up both eeproms.

Original clusters is 8p0 920 930 k and the new used is 8p0 920 930 g. I have read the original dump and copy to the new. Not work, dash show "def". I think it's not the same dash.
Now with vag dash can i opened the new immo box and modify vin, immo and pin manually.
When i tried to make adaptation with vcds, the new dash accept the old pin and show the original vin and immo number.
Fault codes : key not programming.
The dash show safe.

Now i'm going to buy a new key from audi dealer because i think for programming the key it's need a new virgin prepared transponder. I talk with miro from abritus.
When i tried with the old key and vcds, 0 keys was programmed and impossible to program the old. Numbers of key 0.

Why do you need to buy a new key from Audi? all you need to do is buy a Megamos Crypto ID48 Transponder, if you just need a new transponder, it will be available from locksmiths or even eBay these days.

axmax

in the end I had to read the eeprom from the dead Cluster and dumped it into the eeprom in the new dash, this allowed the car to start and even retained all the keys that were programmed to old cluster.

That only worked with "old" VDO clusters (<= IMMO3). And non crypted BOSCH clusters (until year 2001).
