1.4 petrol. 2009 reg. 8fs engine. Car will not run,it turns over and tries to fire. Had New timing chain, as was diagnosed with this fault, but still the same. Had New spark plugs, tried a engine ecu, but still the same. Fuel is coming up from tank, spark is at plugs, timing is fine, compression is fine. Can anyone help with this problem please

DTC?
Did he put diesel in tank? In doubt remove fuel and put fresh BENZIN.
Is oil level ok?
Is EGR stuck open?
Seized engine?

Ok, for 1 thanks would say engine ecu plug full of coolant
So you done that

next step, for 3 thanks and 3 repoints

Remove one spark plug, see if will run on two

If not for 4 thanks and unlimited rep points and rimming

remove spark plugs and check 100% dry no wet. (Fit old if you have to)

refit, crank the shit out of it, good 45 seconds, as time goes by does it fire less?

then

1) check to see if spark plugs dripping wet
2) plug computer in read codes

after that

get gas axe and blow off the cat, repeat loose interest

See if egr looks like this (https://srotas24.co.uk/car-parts/engines-and-engine-parts/egr-valves-and-parts/egr-valves/valve-egr-peugeot-308-14-vti-8fs-v753390580-17227194482.html).

Are fuses ok?
Does dash lit up?

It has a motor like this on rear of engine. But was told this was vanos valve

It's valvetronic motor and won't cause nonstarter.

Spark plugs are soaking of fuel when took out. Cat was took off to see if blockage. This was fine.

Ok, although may be frowned upon for a rasict question

What color is that spark?

if you line up a handful of DK thanks (about 1mm each) how many
can the spark jump?

Right been talking to few people on “pörn hub” we all agree

next step after checking spark color and length, do what “The Jam”
would do and take “David Beckenham” with them.

what did the squish gague go to?

All compression readings are 150. 1 to 4 cylinders

Ok, so

1) cyclinder leakage test to determine if David Beckenham bent valve

after that if ok

2) torch it.

so next question is it possible the lumpy sticks have been transposed?

if wet plugs

a) no or interesting spark

b) excess hydrocarbons (choke all the way in)

c) not sucking oxygen

d) unable to fart

can you put piece of paper roll over exhaust and :toss: see if blow blow or suck blow

Plug in and check fault codes and live data.......check airflow etc.......check cam and crank readings. Post results.
