View Full Version : BMW 750Li ME9.2 DME Clone Possible?

Hi all, I have 2006 BMW 750Li (E66) with N62 engine and ME9.2 DME. The DME is bad and needs to be replaced.

The problem is that I can read the ISN but my tools can't write ISN so I can't make clone.

What options do I have? Is it enough to just transfer the flash chip?

I know I can read the CAS1 and modify the ISN and write back.

Which method is better?

Thanks

You can fully clone ecu with KTag... no flash isnt enough.
If you cant read old ecu. read new ecu and put ISN in CAS.

What tool did you use? Cloning of this ECU is possible. You can write internal flash from your old ecu and transfer external flash chip.

I have KTAG clone but last time I tried to clone this ECU I was getting error and didn't work.

Looks like my only option (with my tools) is to write new ISN to CAS1.

This is a good suggestion but I'm not sure if any of my tools can write internal flash.

I have XPROG 5.55, KTAG clone, mini ACDP

Thank you

With Original KTag works, clone normally cant write last section thats why error.
