Hi everyone. We own a 2012 G350 Bluetec (G wagen) which has the om642 V6 diesel mated to a 722.9 7 speed transmission. It was pointed out on a facebook G wagen group by someone with a 2017 version that the transmission defaults for reverse gear are as follows - High range (road) starts in R1, Low range (off road) starts in R2. This is obviously a huge disadvantage when off road and we both and probably more would like to find someone that could reprogram the TCU to change this default. Mercedes said its not possible, but I find this hard to believe . Anyone ? Thanks in advance.
