Hi does anyone know what voltage I should be seeing on the loom that plugs into exhaust gas temperature sensor on a 6 wire sensor...?
Anyone...?
I have 1 x battery voltage 12v+ 4 x 3v+ and 1 x eart on the pins coming out loom..!!
Surely 2 x pins should be signal wire back to ecu and when disconnected from sensor be 0v..!
Anyone..?

Hi thanks for your reply.
I'm guessing I will have to try.
It's on my dads VW Crafter he has bought privately and the chap said he replaced the sensor which was the wrong sensor.! So my dad bought the right one and replaced that.
Trouble is it's an ex ambulance and has no data plate (build type etc) Only vin number as I assume it was sent as a special vehicle as theres the ( Oughtred and Harrison) specialist vehicle conversions that converted it into an ambulance..!

From what I can tell 070906088 should be the part number or in case of PR Codes 7GG 7GQ 7MF 7MG (EURO 4 or 5 with DPF) then 070906088AA/B pre DPF and 070906088A post DPF.
If it says 1K0998262AD then you are looking at the Lambda sensor.

Hi thanks for reply.
Its bank1 sensor1 so yes pre dpf.
But I'm seeing them voltages withit unplugged at end of the loom..!
Is that the eight voltage as that fault is (voltage to high)..?

Thanks

Don't quite understand the question but the point is all those part numbers are for EGT sensors with 2 pins. Are you sure you're prodding the right connector?

Hi thanks.
Yes it's the right sensor plug as when I unplug it with ignition on it generates fault bank1 sensor1 open circuit..!
Thanks

Its seems you are all right it is a Lambda sensor with this part number 0281004072/073 that was the original off it.
I'm confused now as the fault code was P0546 exhaust gas temperature probe bank1 sensor1 voltage to high..!
Hence me on about pin voltage...!
Like I say I had 1 x battery 12v & 4 x 3v
Any suggestions to that...?722206

Yes, you are about to fix something that isn't broke.

P0546 is an EGT fault not Lambda sensor. The EGT sensor is next door to that one. And yes, both can throw faults saying "bank 1 sensor 1"

In your hand is number 10, you want number 7:

Thanks for the reply.
The chap my dad bought the van off changed that before he got it..I will have to go down and look at it again as it always two weeks agoni looked at it.
Maybe a faulty temp sensor that was replaced.
Cheers for your reply again.
Will let you know how I get on.
