:mad-new: Tried reading pin with TDB007 no joy lonsdor no joy any one done those Boxer van AKL is it easy to remove BSI and which chip I am looking for, any help appreciated. :excitement:

Thats the answer I was looking forward so read striping open BSI chip 95640 for pin how you read chip by pinpoint of desolder chip?

or use any tool that can read pin from obd , precode the key with precode data and then code it in , very quick simple job with most good programmers .

Tdb1000 can do it, truecode and tmpro, avdi, i think autel can.......

Its the same as a fiat ducato, you need to precode the key before program

If Lonsdor FAILED by OBD2 , other fail too , IO Terminal failed by OBD2 & SUCCESS on table ( it's know problem on this BSI ) !!!!

i use abrites on these and have never failed to read pin and precode on them , including 2019 models , and i do alot of these on motorhomes and work vans for a number of local dealers and campsites , so not everything fails becuase lonsdor does.

ive had 1 on a 2019 model that wouldnt read pin and precode initailly , after a quick bcm reset it read and coded fine , so not all kit fails because lonsdor does.

i read yours and jodges post and yes you are correct TDB007 doesnt read the pin from the boxer as its not a peugeot pin and system but a fiat ducato system that needs reading and precoding with a suitable tool . my answer was to terminator who stated if lonsdor failed then so would the rest and that is not the case and inaccurate , and on the rare occasion you cant read it you can get around it simply in most cases with a simple reset.

Hello , what is an " SIMPLE RESET " ? Unplug 12V power supply of BSI ?
Lonsdor is not an reference for Fiat BSI , but with I-O terminal i failed by OBD2 on black BSI 2012>>>
& Success on table , maybe " SIMPLE RESET " like you say . AVDI is very powerful on all FIAT !!!!

ive never had a fail with avdi even on latest models , it is excellent on these , very quick , its my favourite software from them .

you can either disconnect bcm plug and reconnect , or disconnect battery for a few mins and reconnect , after which it should read fine if the tool can do this bcm , avdi can .

avdi will sometimes fail to read pin on some grand punto , but you can switch to read config data and it gives you pin , then read precode after entering pin , so takes an extra 2 mins on these .

but most fiat akl or spare key jobs are done in 5 mins for diag part of job , i critise what it does badly but praise what it does well , and fiat its been faultless on including the latest iveco with last update .

any MM with any external eeprom is a disaster
