Alfa Romeo Spider Body control Unit

Hi all,
I need some help! I have a 2007 Alfa Spider 3.2 Q4 and it looks like the body control Unit has gone is playing up.
I am wondering if I buy a second hand unit can I swop the codes over by Eprom or swop the chips over.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
