Renault clio 4 hands free car reader module
Can a used one be used or it new only
And what tool to adapt to
Car can Renault ecu tool do this or dealer only.

Renault ecu tool do this , if you have PIN code ( from OLD HFM before remove read it ) & used key card

Plug used one HFM > Virgin button > learn HFM
OLD PIN code must be write manually !!! V.I.N too !!!

So is all this possible with the renault ecu tool only or do I need to use Renault clip as last Renault clio 4 I have done after programming both cards with Renault ecu tool nothing was happening both cards where not working and Renault ecu tool was not reading nothing from car I disconnected battery for few minutes than reconnected and both cards where working fine than checked Renault ecu tool connecting to hands free module fine and bringing everything up so from now on I will copy and text on notepad pincode and Reg if in future need
Is the ecu or immobilieser maybe locked to cause that scary expierence.

personally , i never see this problem ! And i never fail with this tool on all cars supported , i use Clio4 2015+ add key since first update ...

no risk with learn HFM function if you know PIN code & you have one used card

What do you mean with used card? working key from car or key from donor car?

Card that belong to this car. If you replacing HFM, you put new virgin hfm, learn pin and card that belong to this car.
