As above don't rib me
Just a honest answer 😂
So I used a kess genuine slave to ID and write some time ago I believe this unlocks as part of process.
Now customer needs more changes but I only have EU kess at the moment
So am I likely to find it unlocked or patched
And can I just read ecu on 2.47 mod the read and write back.
Apologies I'm having a brain fart

Basically on pcr2.1 either it’s unlocked or with Original Kess virtual read

if you unlocked ecu before, now you can just write new mod via obd, no need to unlocking again ..

That's what I'm saying I did it VR with slave so is that now unlocked or patched and can I read it with 5.017

you will see on ID it was unlocked or not .. and yes you can read it via 5.017

I know that
But what I asking is when using VR in slave does that automatically unlock the ecu for future or is it just a patched file....

If you are using slave kess i assume is original and updated. You don't need unlock anything, just write the mod your master give to you via OBD and done, ecu remains locked to be written with low class interfaces but original updated.
So is normal you see "locked" if you make ID with your kess and no one before you put his hands on that car.
