Hi everyone,
i want to expose what i found, wondering if it is technically possible:

between 2007 and 2011 Iveco produced the Daily with 3 different motorizations,

Daily HPI 2.3L with fixed geometry
Daily HPI 3.0L with fixed geometry
Daily HPT 3.0L with variable geometry

doing a superficial digging on google i found:
.................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .........HW nr: .........SW nr:
ECU Iveco Daily 2.3 HPI 2011 Turbo-Diesel 2.3 126.0HP / 92.7KW Bosch EDC16C39 A093290W4LC50V92P28.HEX 0281012193 378090
ECU Iveco Daily 3.0 HPI 2011 Turbo-Diesel 3 145.0HP / 106.6KW Bosch EDC16C39 C107350W4LF60V91P29.HEX 0281012193 378090
ECU Iveco Daily 3.0 HPT 2011 Turbo-Diesel 3 177.0HP / 130.2KW Bosch EDC16C39 C130400V4LC60V91P25.HEX 0281012193 378090

I could find the exact same list, with the same HW but with different SW nr, the 378086, still the same for the three different models.

So i looked in my Daily official manual, and i found that between the 3L FGT and VGT the only difference seems to be that in VGT presence, the modulation valve is connected on the right PIN(20 if i remember correctly), than in FGT the pin is simply not connected (obvioulsy there is no valve to control, because the FGT is westgate controlled).

Is it possible than, for these three different engines have the same ecu SW?
I'm not an engineer, but i'm curious listening from expert people if is it technically possible.

Best regards everyone.

HW 0281012193 supports all Iveco Daily 2006-2011 engines. Base versions of SW for HW: 376661, 370684 (euro 3) and 378086, 378090 (euro 4). All are marked as "project 315" and divided into versions e.g. 67, 91, 92. Last division - subversion/type of engine: P25, P28 etc.

Example from 35C15 MY2009 flash file:
---------
C107350W4LC60V91P25.HEX EDC16C39 5.A3 P315_91.a2l (P315, EDC16C39)
---------
Project 315, version 91, subversion 25

All are marked as "project 315" and divided into versions e.g. 67, 91, 92. Last division - subversion/type of engine: P25, P28 etc.
This part is not clear to me:
it means that the maps, for the engine management of each version (
e.g. 67, 91, 92), are effectively different from each other?

because here i found:
ECU Iveco Daily 3.0 HPI 2008 Turbo-Diesel 3 146.0HP / 107.4kW Bosch EDC16C39 C107350W4LC60V91P17.HEX 0281012193 378086
ECU Iveco Daily 3.0 HPT 2008 Turbo-Diesel 3 176.0HP / 129.4KW Bosch EDC16C39 C130400V4HF60V91P17.HEX 0281012193 378086

Thank you for your kind answer.

There are many differences (v91 - v92). P17 is for a specific but simply engine (very old Daily my2006).

OK, tell me if i'm wrong, the version
(v91 - v92), have many differences in maps, but,
these two versions:

ECU Iveco Daily 3.0 HPI 2008 Turbo-Diesel 3 146.0HP / 107.4kW Bosch EDC16C39 C107350W4LC60V91P17.HEX 0281012193 378086
ECU Iveco Daily 3.0 HPT 2008 Turbo-Diesel 3 176.0HP / 129.4KW Bosch EDC16C39 C130400V4HF60V91P17.HEX 0281012193 378086

are exactly the same? (They are both
V91P17, but the first have FGT and the second VGT).

P17 - Engine program 3.0 in subversion 17
Equipment differences - changed turbine from WG to VGT. A little extra equipment. Software - changed map and active electrovalve switch.

Specificity is described even in the hex file name.

Thank you Greyg, you cleared all my doubts.

I allways take into consideration engine type (F1AE0481... F1CE0481...).
This engine type you can find in ECU flash and nameplate car.

The engine type is not everything. The matching SW optimises engine performance.
