PCF7961 Renew solution

Hi mates. Please can anyone tell me if it is possible to renew/unlock and then precode and program to vehicle by obd using vehicle pin, its for a Peugeot / Citroen / PSA 3x button remote key, PCF7961 CE0536 board printed E154554.
To be programmed on a 2013 Peugeot Partner 1.6HDi.

I am also interested in this topic. In my case I need to unlock pcf7961 for Dacia/Renault key fobs.

So far it looks that in my case this is not possible because Dacia gen2 keys are locked during programming (this is a BCM T4 option which is activated during production in all Dacia gen 2 cars) by setting a one time programmable bit which permanently locks the transponder.

So even if some PCFxx programmers can partially unlock the chip I still do not know if it really can or cannot reset this bit. In theory it should not but maybe someone has a different idea.

My experince so far is that after reseting a Dacia pcf7961 chip and trying to reprogram on a car - the key is saw as a virgin chip by car (I used ddt2000 and correct pin), programming is not possible and the returned error is that BCM cannot write data to key - write protected.

And if change the chip with a virgin PCF7961? Would it be possible to precodeand program it to vehicle to work both transponder and remote? It looks like a mater of correct file to precode. Not expert in this area.

Depending on car and tool precoding might not be sufficient, some require precoding by VIN as I've heard. Do not have any experience outside Dacia/Renault.

Keys with 7961 are easy to be unlocked if you have proper tools no need to replace the chip

What tools can unlock E154554. Couldn't find this on their listings, and contacted sellers for OBDSTAR key RT and Handy Baby KD-X2 told me cannot do this one.

some tools like KD and VVDI also can unloock them but not all

Rookies.. all info you have on this forum. Just search. There is many ways (tools) to unlock or generate keys. Just search, read and practice

I never had problem with KD 7961 on PSA cars

I brought one a while back but not tested it, so just tried a BMW E series and it unlocked and still transmits a signal.

Paul what windows are you using ?

I have tried XP/7/8 with no luck.....Its see's the tool lights work on the box but no bar movement for the unlocking
the was no USB driver with the one i got

Windows 10 64 bit, just start the program select your remote I just used the probes, make sure you have good contact because if not the program can be a bit buggy and you might have to unplug the device and restart the program.
