The problem that I find and I've seen several posts that do denotes the AG SERVICE ADVISOR 2.8 agriculture machinery, etc. and I have not seen anyone able to solve it, so I appeal to try to get it and make this forum the more complete software including a lot of people need. I want to clarify that I am Spanish and my English is not perfect, so I apologize

All of you needed an id and pass from johndere site...
With a lot of money...
And after thet,you are constant monitored by the JD...
The licence are changed to every 3 months...

The only chance is to found a crackers comunity who can
break johndeere site...

Are you really sure about this? I mean the content is installed locally on the computer and should be available without internet connection to the JD site. There must be an opportunity to crack the SW security even if it was built to check access rights every time the program is started. The question should be more if someone has had the effort?

Do you mean you got it up and running too or are you just saying thanks for the DVDs that nobody seems to be able to run (at least not a single person confirming a successful installation so far)? Of course the files are a good start but everyone would prefer to get further than downloading the files.

I explained this in another thread: I was able to install the SW with a 30 day trial period (should work later if the computer clock is adjusted, I have not tried this yet). I had two issues, one was the SQL2005 server that I managed to install separately. Another problem seemed to be that the SW did not accept SP3 XP, I had to install a SP2 version of XP first.

Im guessing there are more people looking into this than me. i have just been able to crack the time stamp feature on the disks but there are one or more changes you have to make in the SQL database. once i fix the 30 day trial to last forever ill post it here ( may take a while ) ill fix the SQL side of things, unless anyone else has been succsesful in doing so.

The Version.txt file is just for user information; the data that gets used is in sa.ini on each disk, it has to match all the information in the SQL databse CD_Tracking and CS_Series_ref.

What exactly did you put into the SA.INI file? Did you try starting your trial period within the validity period of the DVDs?

I don't know what the problem is or was but I was not able to install the SW on any XP SP3 computer I have. I had to install XP with SP2 specifically for this purpose before I succeeded with the installation.

From an installation log I found a report like "XP SP>2 detected, installation aborted".

Its called a John Deere EDL (Electronic Data-Link) And its the same thing as the Nexiq Usb-Link
I have attacked the only Pic that I have seen, its small.. But if you look it has a black Label! and there is accully a 25 pin connector at the top of the unit, 10 extra Pins If im not mistaken and it has a Oval 4 pin connector on the end JP specific Im sure and a 9 pin Deutsch connector. they are in a " Y " Format just like the 6 and 9 pin Deutsch connectors that come with the standard Nexiq.. They even have the same part numbers on the back, I opened the EDL up and its the same as a normal nexiq usb-link just with a new connector at the top and a few more leads on the PCB, I use to have pics.. I just do not know where they are. Im sure if you traced the leads you could " Jerry Rig" it to work with a normal nexiq! you would just have a Frankenstein looking nexiq, But for some of us.. its not ours untill its modified! IMO... ALSO.. They Use the same Drivers! so I hope that helped some of you..

How do you get this to work? I opened the file with Winrar and just got a bunch of characters going on for pages. How does it link to the torrent?

We bought Service Advisor and cannot get the license to work so are going to try and download it. I suspect there is an error on the install disk.

We are trying to load the data cd's as well and can't get SA to point to them. Once we figure it out, we'll post it. As for the license, well, we can't seem to get it to pass the 30 day mark. We keep emailing the guy who sold it to us but all his "solutions" are not working.

There is a way around that 30 day bit read some more of the posts,I cant get data to load either,wont recognize it.I have tried several different methods so far no good but inst just keeps saying 30 days and never gets closer

mozzie gave some advice earlier about loading as virtual discs but i am not quite sure how to do that either.

2. install many times, from setup until complete finish, with poweriso (no need to edit any .ini file)
3. use crcklock and inject in system
4. manually also change clock to abril xx 2009
5. working and tested by me, it skip 30 days trial, even when I forgot and run program with 2010, give me the expired message, but later run crklock inject system and return to 2009 and by bye 30 days.

How did you go with data install,I still cant get advisor to recognize iso,s.I had already got first data disc on by opening power iso but it did an install again and had to redo cracklock.
Tried the early time and made everything worse,two formats later have install and 01 data disc in by using map drive function will not allow a create image but 01 does an upgrade install

Just make sure, poweriso recognize .nrg extension, and it works. You can make install with 2010, but when you first run the program change to abril xx 2009 manually and with cracklock it must work.

Remember doesnt work whit Vista, 7 or any other just win xp service pack 2 english version.

I have 2.8 downloaded. I installed it on VISTA. I also installed the data disc's. The only problems I have is a Search ERROR, The data discs I have expired in like NOV. 2009 and the 30 day trial is counting down. What USB LINK software do I use to connect? I cant connect to the bus modual.

I have 2.8 downloaded. I installed it on VISTA. I also installed the data disc's. The only problems I have is a Search ERROR, The data discs I have expired in like NOV. 2009 and the 30 day trial is counting down. What USB LINK software do I use to connect? I cant connect to the bus modual.
Before it expires try using cracklock to inject current time and you might stop countdown in its tracks.How did you get on burning discs and loading them,I have had trouble getting it to recognize data and my last go at burning new set of discs has failed

They told me that as well and I have not been able to try yet and not sure what connecter is on it,oval 4 pin Hercamp said but I have not seen one.

1. Use vmware specific with win xp 2 not any other.
2. install many times, from setup until complete finish, with poweriso (no need to edit any .ini file)
3. use crcklock and inject in system
4. manually also change clock to abril xx 2009
5. working and tested by me, it skip 30 days trial, even when I forgot and run program with 2010, give me the expired message, but later run crklock inject system and return to 2009 and by bye 30 days.

On 4 pin unable to verify all go to ECU without any details

Have not used them but try Google for chunk 5 or chunk 005 and you might find some help.I think they are raw memory dumps or something like that.Sound complicated.

Have had it setup and loaded with first data disc and got to select models etc.At moment I have reloaded program and licensed thanks to ramirez but have not reloaded data until I have it sorted out it still says my data is invalid service advisor data.I part own a Nexiq link and as soon as I can get data sorted out I will try it.If you run c:\Program Files\ECULP\ECULPINIConfig.exe you can get ID for license and you can see adaptor details and BT usb link is in there in hardware tab/Security tab gives you Host ID for pw.Regards col

I found the same thing when install failed. I look at text file of install and said it failed for unapproved OS which it then skipped without ask. Found SA setup.exe and it then asked if I wanted to install on Uapproved OS. No problem then, just had to set date back to 2/2008 so it will run under 30day licence.

Well I have only 2.8, update to 2.9 and PS data DVD. I had to switch time back to 2008, otherwise it wont do install. Also if you activate trial mode, even with keygen it could not be licensed after it expires. Probably it can be done only by connecting to JD servers. So I got a patch of the exe file to solve this issue. Another thing I have no AG or CF database DVD to test and do not know are they use same installation disk as PS. The DVD image I created still working:)

Install cracklock and install SA but dont run.Go to cracklock manager double click on add program find exe file in [program files] service advisor with start icon next to it not updater click on and open, apply time you want go to injection mode and click on[ click here to create shortcut on the desktop] and then click ok and then run only from the new icon,best to delete original.It worked for me like that.Regards col

If you have install disc it should install by itself or by opening and using install icon.If disc is in different format you may have to find a prgram to open.col

I think its to do with the pc.JD used to use something
like mac address and volume serial number to
make its host id.
Could try padding with zeros to make into a 20
digit host id.
Also depends if is a pata or sata drive also.
Seems on a sata drive last 8 digits are related
to volume serial number.

There's actually 4 versions of JD 2.8
which all have there on pecular
problems.
2.8.012 thru to 2.8.306

Its not just trying to get it installed
its what you may have already installed
or wish to install lator.
For instance lets say you install 2.8.306
it will require upgrading to xp sp3 and
if you have sql server sp1 it will req sql
sp2.That may affect programs that may
depend on xp sp2 and sql sp1.
So what happens when try and install
ptt 1.12 lator which uses
sql server sp3 or visa a versa.

JD_SA was designed for dedicated pc's for its
dealers and techies.
They dont usually have other brands so
much ,(maybe cummins etc )on those pc's.

Your basically in uncharted waters really,and
no body can help you cause you dont provide
much information at all and even then it maybe
a case of trial and error due it being used in an
environment it wasnt designed for.

I have had that problem,I think there is 2 folders very similar for step 4.See if you can find another Service advisor folder and copy it to there and then run step 5 again

i show my nexiq too a young fitter were i work and he said that it was the same as what he used when he work at john deere here in the goldcoast in australia with Service Advisor
