View Full Version : BME DDE 7 EDC16C31 checksum on eeprom / ISN

Hello,
I have here BMW E46 320d with ECU bosch 0281010565 EDC16C31.Engine donīt start. I have error 4703 ECU internal fault 7
In my opinion this error is related with eeprom corrupt.

So, I got another eeprom dump here in forum from same ECU and change ISN code and write on ECU.
Now I can hear the fuel pump working, thats good.

However now I have ECU internal error 4 - checksum related.
I think this problem is because I change ISN code on eeprom and did not correct checksum.

Can someone help me correct checksum on eeprom ?

Attached I send original eeprom and the used eeprom found on forum. Please make checksum on this last eeprom.

Yes, I can read EWS with xprog. Should I read it ?
Yes I have X431 and Inpa to do sync

I write now your file on my EWS and the untouched eeprom on ECU.
Then with X431 made Sync and then car started, perfect !

Whether your problem is, Broken sync
because eeprom is ok
