View Full Version : Toyota IQ 2008 ecu set swap? Immo problem

please advice.
IQ 1.4 diesel 2008 year,regular key.

What parts consists of full starting kit for this car.
Ecu+ immo id box+key? Or any other parts

Situation is that car after thefth. Bought in auction no keys. Police returned 1 ori key afyer that. But it not start car. Ignition not broken.

Owner bough other starting kit. From other car ,ecu,id box and keys.

In diagnostics no error about immo etc.
He swaped kit ,same problem no start, he tels when input key immo light go off,but if he trie turn starter to start it not start and immo light comes on.

With old and new starting kit is same problem.

Any ideas?

Ariel is working because it detects the key when it enters the barrel and light turns off...
Key & immo are married and there is no pig back aftermarket Alarm or satellite tracking unit? You try syncing 4/13 for 35min. ??
Next will be checking crank sensor, door latch sensor And so on. Had a running Prius with add a proxy only that went bad, had a door latch issue would no start after trying to add a proxy. Had a second Prius that would not start had a bad sensor that cools down the inverter in the engine compartment.

Ive checked immo box data and key on donor set. It match. Told him try do sync obd pins to test. As car not in my garage.
