Hi guys, im new here at this forum and first steps with automotive tuning. I have kess clone and i did few writings for my friends cars, mostly edc15 and edc16. I read a lot in many forums that china clones are quite risky. So question for clone owners, how often u have failed to write with your tool(mention which tool u use)? How many u restored on bench(is it was genuine bench tool)? I dont need exact numbers, just aprox.

No Problem with clone, sometime when you not write slow edc16 they brake up and ecu is cracked , but write again with the right setting and all ist good.
write different ecus Denso Delfi Siemens sit 208? and many more no problem.
When car have tprot edc17 bmw 2009 on exemple you must R/W with Ktag .
but 150 ecus written and no one is dead.

Im using kess clone at the moment and had no problems for now, but im wondering to buy a bench tool in case somethig went wrong. Cheapest solution would be bdm100 clone, feedbacks are quite good for this clone, im wondering if its easy to use the software, do it has pinout manuals like ktag, and it covers many ecu? Or maybe galeto4? Any advice wich clone to choose like a backup bench tool wich im not gonna use frequently?

If you search good tool for bmd work, ktag europe clone is one good option ;)
